The Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and the Max Planck Institutes Fritz Haber and Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion are pooling their expertise to establish the Catalysis Laboratory (CatLab) together with academic and industrial partners.
We were commissioned by Studio Hoppenhaus & Grunze Medien to develop an opener for the CatLab Kick-Off event.
For the animation, we recreated scientific instruments from paper and cardboard and brought them to life using Stop Motion combined with hand-drawn elements, setting a playful and imaginative start for the event.
